As a REALTOR®, my overall goal is to offer something special to my partners and clients. Anyone can find a broker with knowledge and experience, but I’ve found that clients refer me to their inner circle because of so much more, the intangibles, the qualities that have nothing to do with money or income. The attention, quality of service, responsiveness, servant attitude, and overall positive character are what the brand of “Bob Wilson” represents. What makes me so different? MOTIVATION. My personal investments and cash flow handles my needs, desires, and wants, therefore my interactions with you or your circle of friends are not about pressuring you to “close a deal” or “sell a house”. It’s about what you need from me, that will make your journey enjoyable, and successful – however you define success. You define the goals, and what success looks like, and I support you by providing you consultation, comfort, an ear, or anything you need to achieve your definition of success.
Which facet of real estate interests you? I have personally purchased, sold, rented, property managed, been a landlord (current) on my personal properties. I’ve used many types of financing, FHA, conventional, cash, owner financing. At one time, I was a first-time homebuyer, and currently am an investor. I have experience with foreclosure and short sale processes. What excites me about this industry, is there are so many opportunities to find whatever one is searching for. You don’t have to know what you want yet, it’s ok, we have plenty of time to figure it out together.
Prior to attaining my Broker’s license, I’ve spent 11 years working for a well-known cable company, specifically in their door-to-door sales channel. Yes, I’ve knocked on doors for 11 years, and trained/managed door-to-door professionals in the western suburbs. When a person has spent that much time pounding each subdivision and networking with communities from Oak Park (East) to Yorkville (West), Schaumburg (North) to Frankfort (South), including the southern suburbs, you develop a one-of-a-kind perspective, expertise with towns, subdivisions, streets, and everything in between. I gave all of my team members and new hires, a singular motto to live by. “You want people skills, then be a person.” Being a person has nothing to do with a sale, transaction, or income – and that’s why I’ve been successful over the years, you and I are people first, the business side of this industry will take care of itself, and when it does, it’s my job to ensure it goes smooth.
My wife Leslie and I have a young boy, Carter, who is currently 2 ½. His nickname (at home) is “monster”, which is quite funny because he’s actually a really good, mild kid, but for some reason my wife likes calling him that. I don't have a special name for Carter, but when I walk in the door, he knows my battle cry which always results in a loving wrestling match every night, and somehow he always wins. :) Leslie and I have been married for 9 years, and we love spending time studying the Bible together, and planning our next travel experiences. She is originally from the Bronx, NY, while I grew up in Bellwood, IL before venturing to Joliet, Aurora, and then Naperville & Bolingbrook. I have a dog, and an interesting story to go along with him, but, to find out more about him, you may just have to give me a call…

Jobs aren't usually fun, so the best thing about my career is, it's not "work"- it's enjoyable & entertaining, full of experiences by meeting new people, learning new things, and allowing my creative juices to flow through real estate, design, the hunt, and networking.
A perfect day for me is one that starts with a moment to read the Bible, combines good sleeping (yes I like to snooze), sprinkle in some new food, or a restaurant, quality & impactful time with my wife and son, 1 or 2 clients/friends expressing their happiness in our real estate successes, some sporting or work out activity, and throw a moment in with friends- yes a busy day, but perfectly touches on everything important to me.
