The parade kicks off at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 14 and marches through downtown Naperville, beginning at Naperville North High School and moving through the historic downtown streets before ending near Naperville Central High School. On Sunday, March 15 at 1:00 PM, the parade steps off near Plainfield Central High School and winds through the heart of downtown, filling the streets with tons of St. Paddy’s Day cheer. Enjoy bagpipers, marching bands, colorful floats, acrobats, and local groups, with candy and goodies shared along the route. The fun begins even earlier with activities like the Paddy Day Mile race, and kids can decorate their bikes to join the celebration. One of the Fox Valley’s most festive community traditions returns on Saturday, March 14, with the St. Charles St. Patrick’s Parade taking over downtown St. Charles for a day of Irish-themed fun and celebration. The festivities begin with an Opening Ceremony at 11:00 AM on the 1st Street Plaza, complete with live entertainment like Irish dancers and bagpipers, before the parade steps off at 2:00 PM down Main Street from 6th Street to 4th Avenue. Along the route you’ll find colorful floats, community groups, and lots of “green” spirit, while lucky photo stations and shamrock-themed opportunities give families great ways to capture memories. Local businesses throughout St. Charles also get in on the fun with special sales and St. Patrick’s Day offers, making it easy to shop, dine, and explore the downtown area before and after the parade. Celebrate the luck of the Irish at the Yorkville St. Patrick’s Day Celebration! The festivities kick off at 9:00 AM with the RUN S.O.B. 5K, followed by the Lucky Leprechaun Hunt from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM where you can find a hidden pot of gold! Enjoy live music from the Procession Brass Band from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM, and cheer on participants in the Yorkville Heating & Air Conditioning Clover Court Contest at 10:00 AM, with winners joining the Irish Parade at 11:00 AM, which begins at Hydraulic Avenue, filling the streets with colorful floats, festive performers, and community spirit.
