Growing up with a father who had his own real estate company, I essentially grew up in the business. It was never my dream to follow in John’s footsteps nor was it his to have me join the company he built back in 1976.

As I grew up in Naperville, I noticed the impression people had about real estate agents did not align with the things I heard people say about john greene Realtor agents.

What impacted me through all the stories I’d hear about the company was how John’s ideals also defined the agents who worked with him. He didn’t recruit agents. He handpicked them. They had to be special. They had to do more than say they cared about clients. They had to prove it. Not once or twice, but every single day. It’s what we do for the things we love: our jobs, our company, our community. That’s what being a john greene Realtor agent is all about.

I’m Tim, John’s son. Like my dad, my feelings for Naperville speak for themselves. My wife and I bought the home next door to where I grew up and where my parents still live. My sister Shannon, who has joined the company, built a home on the other side of our property where she lives with her husband and their two children.

Both of us grew up seeing our family name everywhere: around town, on our neighbors’ lawns and as part of the farmland landscape throughout the area. Caretaking this name carries a certain responsibility for our children and no doubt us. We proudly accept that.

Many of our agents have been with us from the beginning. Others have joined along the way. They call our company their own. Like John, we still hand pick our agents. We pick them not based on the deals they do, but that something special they possess that means everything.
